New to the Ghosh clientele but not new to our Project Manager, Beckley Water Company needed to relocate an existing 24” CIP waterline with operating pressures of 250 to 300 PSI in order for WVDOH to construct a new US Rt. 19 bypass from Eisenhower Drive to Beaver. This work needed to be performed without interrupting water service to nearly 15,000 customers. The Ghosh team of engineers worked with Beckley Water Company’s engineers and distribution system operators along with WVDOH and their consultant to determine the best location for the new waterline that would not conflict with the new roadway and bridge construction. Design is complete and has been approved by WVDOH for construction, which is anticipated to begin Summer 2023.
