This project consisted of the rehabilitation of the existing West Dunbar Public Service District collection system that was constructed in 1976. Ghosh Engineers performed smoke testing and flow monitoring in the collection system during the planning phase of this project. The results of the testing revealed that most of the existing collection system was in poor condition and needed replaced. West Dunbar PSD’s wastewater is treated by the City of Dunbar and due the condition of the system, the flows during wet weather conditions was creating hydraulic issues at Dunbar’s wastewater treatment plant. Ghosh Engineers developed a rehabilitation plan and provided design, bidding, and construction phase services to rehabilitate the collection system.
